Role of the Governor in Jharkhand

Summons and prorogues the state legislature (Jharkhand Vidhan Sabha).

Judicial Powers:

Consulted in the appointment of High Court judges.

Every High Court judge takes an oath before the Governor.

Has the power to grant pardons, reprieves, respites, or remission of punishment to convicted individuals.

Special Responsibilities:
