To provide benefits of Sarvajan Pension Scheme to maximum numbers of people, Ranchi District Administration decided that it will conduct a survey In Ranchi district in all block zone areas to cover 100 percent eligible persons. Ranchi Deputy Commissioner (DC), Rahul Kumar Sinha has instructed all BLO supervisors and all booth level officials to conduct surveys under their booths to give benefits of Sarvajan Pension Yojana to the eligible beneficiaries of the district.
The BDOs, COs in urban areas have been directed to approve the applications received from eligible persons who have been left out again after a complete survey of each polling station as per the rules. So that 100 per cent target can be fulfilled under the scheme in Ranchi district.

Northeast Railways sets up First Trans Tea Stall
The Northeast Frontier Railways (NEFR) combined with the All Assam Transgender Association recently opened a tea shop led by transgender people located at Guwahati station.
As a part of the governments Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas, the RAILWAY stall was inaugurated by the General Manager of NEFR, Mr Anshul Gupta on March 05, 2023.
It will not only create EMPLOYMENT opportunities for trans and queer communities but will also empower, support and elevate them among all members of Society.
RBI, UAEs Central Bank signs MoU to promote Innovation
The Reserve Bank Of India and the Central Bank of UAE jointly sign an official agreement for encouraging Innovation in financial products and Services.
Central Banks will altogether survey the Central Bank Digital Currencies and will also draw comparability between the CBDCs of CBUAE and RBI.
Pilot tests will be held to provide cross-border transactions. Through this initiative, the economic ties will deepen between India and UAE.
Use of nano urea can reduce fertiliser subsidy bill by Rs 25K annually
The standing committee report on ‘Nano-Fertilisers for Sustainable Crop production and Maintaining Health‘ has raised concerns over the excessive use of conventional urea and continuous increase in itsimport of ureaover the years, which rose from 5.5 million tonnes (MTs) in 2016-17 to 9.8 MTs in 2020-21, the panel has said the subsidy burden on account of urea import constitutes 26% of the overall urea subsidy paid in a year by the government.
The panel has also recommended the government to put in place a system to sell one bottle of nano urea and four bags of urea to farmers instead of five bags of the conventional soil nutrient. It has recommended the government for more use of drones for spraying nano urea.
India joins global Agriculture Innovation Mission for Climate
U.S. and UAE collectively launched the <a href="https://exam.pscnotes.com/Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture Innovation Mission for Climate AIM4C in November 2021. India also joined the global platform.
The aim was to strengthen and provide support for Climate-Smart Agriculture and food systems innovation, as stated by the US Department of state.
This initiative has resulted in the rise of investments to USD 8 billion at a global level. India has joined with as many as 275 partners out of which 42 are governments who are working together to accelerate the mission.

Pact on air information sharing soon: US secretary of Air Force
India and the US are now working to finalise an air information sharing agreement, even as they explore opportunities under theDefence Technologyand Trade Initiative (DTTI) for co-development and co-production of high-tech weapon systems as well as the much broader Initiative on Critical and Emerging Technologies (iCET).
India and the US signed the Basic Exchange and Cooperation Agreement for Geospatial Cooperation (BECA) in 2020, the Communications, Compatibility and Security Arrangement (COMCASA) in 2018, the Exchange Memorandum of Agreement (LEMOA) in 2016 and the General Security of Military Information Agreement (GSOMIA) in 2002.
