Rs 4,546 crores supplementary budget tabled in House
Finance Minister Rameshwar Oraon on Wednesday presented the third supplementary budget of Rs 4546 thousand crore in the Assembly on Wednesday. The maximum provision of Rs 645 crore has been made for the Energy Department in the supplementary budget. Apart from this, Rs 100 crores to the Building Construction Department, Rs 400 crores in pension head, Rs 112 crores to Forest Environment Department, Rs 327 crores to Health Department, Rs 172 crores to Home Department, Rs 122 crores to Department, Rs 365 crores to Road Construction Department, Rural Development Department Rs 136 crore, Rs 162 crore for <a href="https://exam.pscnotes.com/water-Resources“>Water Resources Department, Rs 470 crore for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Minorities and Backward Classes Welfare, Rs. 371 crore for Education Department.

First E-Waste Eco-Park In Delhi
The Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, announced that Delhi would get India’s first E-Waste eco-park.
Highlights
First, electronic-waste eco-friendly parks are established in Delhi to handle the increasing e-waste. Dismantling, Re-cycling, Re-furbishing, and re-manufacturing of the waste will be done securely and scientifically.
It’ll be built on 20 acres of land.
The e-waste eco-part will comprise an authorized refurbishing market as a secondary product sale marketplace for batteries, electronic goods, laptops, chargers, mobiles, and PCs.
Across the 12 zones, collection centers will be established to channel e-waste.
The e-waste eco-park will provide the informal sector operators with , training, and tools to groom them as formal recyclers.
This facility will comprise dismantling, refurbishing, segregation, plastic recycling, material-wise storage, testing, and valuable extraction facilities, from computer circuit boards (PCBs) through high-end technologies.
Operation Ganga: Evacuation Plan By India
The Ministry of external affairs found 247 control centers to help evacuate Indian nationals from Ukraine.

Indian nationals will be evacuated via Poland, Hungary, Romania, and Slovakia’s border crossing locations. ‘Operation Ganga,’ a multi-pronged evacuation effort, was also initiated by India.
‘OpGanga,’ a fanatical Twitter handle, has been launched by Ministry.
As Russia’s onslaught against Ukraine increased, India evacuated stranded nationals on February 26 under Operation Ganga.
After Ukrainian airspace was closed to civil aircraft operations on February 24, an evacuation effort began.
The Indian government has managed to fly three special Air India planes to bring stranded individuals Home.
During the current emergency, the Indian government recognizes the importance of evacuation.
Dharma Guardian Exercise 2022
Dharma Guardian is the name of an Indo-Japan Joint Military Exercise that began in 2018. This exercise takes place between both countries’ armies.
Highlights
This exercise with Japan is critical and crucial within the security challenges that both nations face within the backdrop of the present global situation.
This exercise covers platoon-level joint operations training in semi-urban and concrete environments and forests.
Exercise Dharma Guardian 2022 will begin from 27 February to 10 March 2022 and be conducted at Foreign Training Node, Belagavi, Karnataka.
Indian Army’s 15th Battalion, the MARATHA Light INFANTRY Regiment, and Japan’s 30th Infantry Regiment of Japanese Ground Self DEFENCE Forces participate during this year’s exercise.

DST-CII India- Singapore Technology Summit
The 28th edition of the DST CII Technology Summit was organized by the Confederation of Indian (CII) in New Delhi in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology (DST) of the Government of India.

Union Government Approved Renaming of Aurangabad & Osmanabad in Maharashtra
Chief Minister Shinde confirmed that Aurangabad city will be renamed Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, and Osmanabad city will be called Dharashiv. After a year the proposal to rename Aurangabad and Osmanabad has been approved by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The Ministry stated that it has no objection to renaming cities. The initial proposal was made in a cabinet meeting during the Maha Vikas Aghadi government in June 2022 before Uddhav Thackeray resigned as the then-chief minister.
After claiming that the decision by the Uddhav government was illegal, On July 16, 2022, a Government Resolution was passed by the two-member cabinet, comprising Eknath Shinde and his deputy Devendra Fadnavis, for changing the names, and a proposal was then forwarded to the Centre.
Centre to set up 2 Oz varsities in Guj’s GIFT CITY’
As part of the project of establishment of foreign universities in India, the Centre on Wednesday announced for setting up of two Australian universities Wollongong and Deakin in Gujarat’s ‘GIFT CITY’. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said both the universities will sign an agreement on setting up their campuses next week during Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s maiden visit to India.
The announcement comes just a month after the Centres university regulator- (UGC)- released draft rules to facilitate foreign universities in setting up campuses in India.

The first nuclear power plant in North India would be built in Gorakhpur, Haryana, according to Union Minister Jitendra Singh. He claimed that one of the major accomplishments under Prime Minister Narendra Modis Leadership would be the installation of nuclear and atomic energy Plants across the nation, which had previously been largely restricted to states in the south like Nadu and Andhra Pradesh as well as western Maharashtra.
According to Singh, the Center has unanimously approved the installation of 10 Nuclear Reactors in an effort to boost Indias nuclear capability.
The Department of Atomic Energy is also allowed to join forces with Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) to get funding for the opening of nuclear power plants.

WHO orders global recall of eye drug produced in India
The World Health Organization (WHO) has announced the recall of an eye drugmanufactured by Indian pharma Galentic Pharma Pvt Ltd administered on children from global markets.
The Maharashtra based drug company manufactures the tetracycline hydrochloride ophthalmic ointment USP 1% drug. However, there is currently no established evidence of any adverse events from the affected batches of the product. Redness and swollen eyes are common reactions to general use of tetracycline eye ointment.
India opens Young Professionals Scheme visas for UK graduates
In an effort to provide opportunities to young persons of the UK and India to live and work in either country, the Indian High Commission in London on Tuesday opened its visa application process for UK nationals to apply for the new Young Professionals Scheme (YPS). It coincided with the ballot opened by the British High Commission in New Delhi for Indian graduates.
Under the Young Professionals Scheme, announced about a month ago, young citizens of India and the UK can visit each other for up to two years at a time.
