Employment generation in mining, other sectors priority of Govt: CM

Apart from the mining sector in the State, the government has special emphasis on creating employment in other areas. For this, the government is moving ahead in a phased manner to employ more and more people through different mediums.

The CM said that there is a huge potential in the textile industry in Jharkhand. In the coming few days, the target is to connect about eight thousand people in this sector. He said that companies wishing to provide employment to young men and women here will be fully supported by the government. On this occasion, the CM was entrusted a letter of intent in connection with providing one lakh N-95 masks by Arvind Group of Companies.

The CM said that even in the Corona crisis, more and more job creation is being done at the government level. Under this, besides the three big schemes under the MGNREGA, the Mukhyamantri Urban Shramik Yojana has been started for the urban labourers. Lakhs of mandays have been created through these schemes and this will continue in the future.

The main aim of this day is to raise awareness about the people who are struggling and living in poverty. It is necessary to remove poverty mainly in developing countries.

With the pandemic leaving many without work, the government is all set to launch an e-marketplace by July end to host around 5000 tribal artisans to begin with. The government sees this e-mart as a way to create an independent online space of artisans to put out their products that have been wasting away in the absence of buyers.

The government commissioned on trial a website that will give all details, statistics and real-time information of the VDVKs and also enable GPS linkages to connect those executing the activities in the villages to those monitoring the scheme in the states and in the central government.
