Locked at home, NRIs from State face tough times amid restrictions
Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) hailing from Jharkhand are facing a tough time in foreign nations as the fear of Coronavirus has led to lockdowns and even curfews in some parts of the world. While fetching Indian grocery has become a daunting task in foreign shores, some NRI’s plans of visiting home – either to attend events or address exigencies – had to be cancelled as the fear of being quarantined has gripped foreign travelers to India.
Coronavirus has killed more than 100 people in the USA and infected around113 in the UAE. More than 2 lakh people have been infected by the lethal virus across the globe and over 8,000 of them have died. While India is taking all possible measures to prevent the virus from spreading, and screening foreign travelers is an important part of the drill, the preventive measures have hit some NRIs hard.
