BAU starts spice crops cultivation training to farmers
In a move to provide training about modern agricultural techniques, Scientist and Project Investigator (Spice Crops), Dr Arun Kumar Tiwari visited Silagai village which is birth place of Veer Budhu Bhagat on the instructions of Birsa <a href="https://exam.pscnotes.com/Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture University (BAU) Vice Chancellor (VC), Dr Onkar Nath Singh. Tiwari informed about the spirit of the Vice Chancellor for the spread of modern agricultural techniques in the village.
The Project Investigator, Spice Crop said that the VC, Dr Singh has directed to conduct research and extension program on modern farming for livelihood security of farmers in village Silagai of Veer Budhu Bhagat. He said that horticulture crops especially coriander, fenugreek, carom seeds, turmeric and ginger have great potential in the village by adopting commercial cultivation of spice crops with scientific management, local farmers can get good profit. Seeing the possibility of farming of rural products and spices, he appealed to the present villagers to cooperate in promoting the cultivation of spices in the village.
The villagers talked about the cooperation of the university in the spread of modern agriculture in the village.
About 950 families reside in this village located in Chanho block of Ranchi and about 52 percent of the Population belongs to the Oraon tribe family. Dr. Tiwari went to the village and met and bowed down to the family members of Veer Budhu Bhagat, a skilled warrior of guerrilla warfare and the hero of total rebellion.

E-sports gets recognition from the Indian government as part of multisports events
Esports received a huge boost from the Indian government. It is incorporated into the nations mainstream Sports disciplines. Droupadi Murmu, the President of India, amended the regulations governing eSports in accordance with the authority conferred by clause (3) of article 77 of the Constitution and requested that e-Sports be included as part of multi-sports events from the Ministries of Electronics and Information Technology and Sports.
E-sports after being added to the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta as a demonstration sport, which meant that medals earned in the sport were not included in the official total of medals.
There had been an increase in desire for Esports to be included in the curriculum of multi-discipline competitions.
Govt seeks to ban social media sites promotion of online betting
The Government of India is proposing the ban on promotion of Online Betting on the Social Media platforms. The Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, have recently been recommended for revision by the Central government to control the Indian online gaming market. The suggestion was made to protect consumers from any harm that skill-based games might cause.
The fact that between 40 and 45 percent of gamers in India are female makes maintaining the security of the gaming even more crucial.

He was democratically elected as Prime Minister of Fiji, serving from 1992 to 1999, and again in 2022 leading a three-party coalition.
