Jharkhand chapter of Cardiological Society of India (CSI) was adjudged best branch in annual convention of CSI held at Hyderabad from December 2 to December 5. CSI Jharkhand Chapter, president Dr Satish and Secretary Prattay Guha Sarkar received award on Saturday in Hyderabad.
Talking to The Pioneer over phone, Secretary of Jharkhand Chapter of CSI, Dr. Prattay Guha Sarkar informed that State received award of best branch during annual convention of CSI held in Hyderabad for its excellent work done during the COVID-19 crisis in 2019-20.
The State is moving fast in providing medical facilities to cardiac patients. Sarkar further said that criteria of CSI to see which chapter has done well is academic works, research, social work and spread of public awareness. The States Chapter worked excellently in all these criteria and emerged as best in all these fields. A total of 11 publications of research were submitted which is very important in itself, it means every month one publication research was submitted. They also judged the State on how much it is showing progress every year, he added.
Jharkhand performed very well in providing cardiac related treatments during last few years and at same time the is also improving rapidly. Earlier 70 to 80 per cent of cases of cardiac arrest used to be referred to other states like Vellore and Delhi and others, but this practice has reduced.
In coming two to three years State will touch many milestones in this direction and emerge as one of best medical facility providers in cardiology, said Sarkar.

Every year the Indian Navy Day is celebrated to commemorate Operation Trident. The operation was launched by the Indian Navy during the India-Pakistan war of 1971 to attack Karachi Harbour.
The Operation Trident was launched in the night of December 4. During the attack Indian Navy ravaged the fuel Storage tankers at Pakistan Naval headquarters located in Karachi. The Indian Navy also sinked 4 of the Pakistani boats and killed 500 Pakistani Naval personal. This included minesweepers and destroy us as well.
For the first time India deployed and anti-ship missile during the India Pakistan war of 1971. The operation Trident was followed by operation Python.

During the visit of Russian PresidentVladimir Putinto India on Monday, the two countries would be inking the major deal worth over Rs 5,100 crore for producing AK-203 assault rifles within the country.
The Russian President during his one-day visit is also scheduled to hand over the model of an S-400 air DEFENCE system to Prime MinisterNarendra Modias a symbol of delivery of the weapon system to India.
